Cast it Out
But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment.
1 Corinthians 11:31
When was the last time you took a good look at yourself, your life and your standing with God?
Many Christians refuse to take a hard look at what they have hidden in the tents of their hearts. They prefer to live in denial or rationalize their sin. You cannot rationalize sin, reason with it or counsel it. After a while, it will take hold of you.
Genesis 4:7 says, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.”
If you are in bondage to alcohol, confess it before the Lord. If you are an adulterer or engaged in inappropriate behaviors, confess it before the Lord. Apply the blood of Jesus and claim what is yours-forgiveness of sin. Then bind that sin up and cast it out. It does not belong in your life!
Do not live like a slave when you are a son of God. Do not live in bondage when you are redeemed. You are not a captive-you have liberty because Christ himself has set you free.
Cast whatever binds you out today-and live the life that Christ paid for you to have.
