What can I pray about?

What can I pray about?

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Mark 11:24 NLT

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:15 NKJV

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ( definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4:6 AMP

When can I pray about it?

Then Jesus spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1

Never stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT250841_381305461923559_655310671_n

God’s invitation to prayer is wide open…we are encouraged to pray about anything and at any time. It is always the right time to pray. Pray about the big things and pray about the smallest details…God wants you to talk to Him about every aspect of the life He shares with you and to keep you thriving in the very center of His will.

There is nothing too great for God’s power and there is nothing too small for His love. The God of the infinite is the God of the infinitesimal.

  2. Thank you Dorothy for sharing the importance of Prayer, I was thinking of doing the same this morning perhaps sometime early next week but I’m having problems with the Posting settings on my Blog so I was pleased you have shared this need with us. Prayer is so important but how we pray is just as important, we know Paul prayed 3 times for healing but he was still dealing with his fleshy Pride at the time, so they were not answered and later His focus was on others and he prayed mainly for them which of course The Holy Spirit motivates us to do and many Scriptures confirm this Truth. I tried to condense my comment by just sharing a few of the Scripture referances on prayer instead of all the Scripture but there so helpful I hope others will look them up.

James 5:14-16 & Matthew 21:21-23 & Luke 11:9-10 Luke We Pray with Faith beliving we wil receive.

Philippians 4:5-7 &1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 &1 Timothy 2:1 and many other Scriptures tell us not to give up and to pray with with Thankful hearts

John 9:31 & Psalm 66:18 & Isaiah 1:15 & Proverbs 28:9 & James 4:2-4 God does not hear the prayers of those who sin and are disobedient and have no repentance.

John 14:12-14 & John 15:7& John 4:10 & 1John 3:21-23 We are to remain faithful to Jesus and stand up for His Truth and then when we ask according to His will, we will receive.

Matthew 23:13-15 We are not to pray selfishly or for the wrong reasons or without honesty.

1 Timothy 2:8 & 2 Corinthians 13:6-8 We pray without sinfulness, doubting or anger.

.Ephesians 6:17-19 We are to Pray in The Spirit (not meaning tonges ) this is Praying in Truth by the empowering of The Spirit as Jesus Leads us, He is our Living Word our armour.

Romans 15:29-31 We ask others to pray for us especially in our work for the Lord but also when we confess our sins before we are perfected in Love 1John3:9.

Mark 11:25 We pray with a forgiving heart towards others and not having any bitterness or resentment.

Mark 13:32-34 we watch for the signs and pray expectantly for Jesus return

Mark 14:37-39 we pray when Tempted, as we are putting our flesh to death by the Spirit,

Luke 18:10 -14 We Pray with humility

Christian Love from both of us – Anne
